Tempowerk: A growing network

The challenge

Tempowerk is a technology centre in Hamburg-Harburg with laboratories, offices and production rooms on an area of around 30,000 square metres. Tempowerk is currently facing the challenge of opening up small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to new formats of inspiration and demonstrating the added value of interdisciplinary dialogue with creative minds. In order to answer everyday questions and make the added value of "out-of-the-box" thinking tangible, the resources of time and money must always be factored in.

Format & method

• The World Café starts with a round of introductions: the participants get to know each other and develop a common culture of dialogue at eye level, e.g. each participant brings a typical object from their working life and gives a brief insight into their professional activity
• Before the discussion rounds on specific issues begin, the participants receive overarching impulses, for example through presentations on innovation cultures or the use of new technologies
• 3 table discussions of 40 minutes each: In changing constellations, managers talk to creative professionals about their specific challenges
• The topics for the table discussions are defined in advance with the Kreativ Gesellschaft team. This enables us to coordinate target-oriented matches between the managers and the creatives.
