What if routes were no longer determined by needs, but by dynamic electricity prices, grid logic or algorithmic priorities? When energy availability determines who can be mobile and when?
At the Cross Innovation Hub's Future Provocations Showcase, four creative experts will design such possible futures - not as forecasts, but as deliberately exaggerated scenarios. Their speculative artefacts look like fragments from a near future: familiar enough to seem plausible, yet strange enough to cause irritation.
In these design fictions, mobility becomes a space for negotiation between the individual, infrastructure and energy supply. The artefacts on display make it possible to experience how decisions, scope for action and everyday routines could shift under changed conditions. At the same time, they raise the question of which of these developments we as a society actually find desirable.
Following a guided exhibition, the creative experts and the Cross Innovation Hub will open up a space for discussion - about the artefacts on display, the underlying assumptions and the questions they raise. The audience is explicitly part of this debate.

Future Provocations is a new series of events organised by the Cross Innovation Hub that makes speculative future scenarios tangible through design fiction artefacts. Creative experts develop artefacts at the interfaces of technology, society and urban transformation.
The works function as deliberate provocations: They visualise how systems of life and action could shift under changing conditions - and invite us to critically question and rethink these developments.
With this series, the Cross Innovation Hub creates low-threshold, cross-industry dialogues about opportunities, risks and values for the economy and society. This gives companies from different sectors new impetus for dealing with change and transformation.
